The Gateway Arch sprouts like an odd weed through the trees of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in downtown St. Louis.
Floodwater swamps the western approach to the Eads Bridge, the oldest span crossing the Mississippi River. This view was taken from the Gateway Arch grounds looking east to the Illinois side of the river.
The Eat-Rite Diner at 7th Street and Choteau Avenue is a local landmark. Naturally, the name and the fare constitute an oxymoron.
